Default roewe 550/mg6 IS NOT based on r75 platform

in an article in this months mg enthusiast the saic team at longbridge have confirmed that the roewe550/mg 6 is not on a shortened r75 platform but is a new platform.
it shares only ONE componant and that is the front subframe.
also the digital dash will not come to europe and a different seat design will be used.

I thought it was loosely based on the RDX60?

OOh

Forgot to tell everyone that I saw a Reowe 550 on the road outside our estate the other week. Coming towards me I must admit it looked far better than in the pics.

Modern yet familiar........

Quite surprisingly I was impressed

I hope they completely ditch that tacky Chinese interior... it needs to be quality like the Rover 75/MG ZT. A copy of the Jaguar XF would be nice - are you listening MG Motors??

Didn't get any different seats.

The wheelbase, track and width is identical to the Rover 75. I'll bet its based on it
