Default Black 2005 ZT-T CDT with towbar £1000 *Now Sold*

I have owned this car for about 5 years having bought it from my brother who had bought it in Dec 2008 at about 81,000 miles, but sadly it is time to say goodbye. Only selling as I have been given a great deal on my brother in law’s younger Octavia diesel estate.

It has an MOT to March 2016 and is on about 144,000 miles.

Electric windows, electric mirrors, central locking, factory fitted alarm system, auto-dip mirror, auto-wipers, lumber support, cup holder, trip computer and message centre, with traffic master alerts, automatic temperature control (climate control), parking sensors, cruise control, fog lights, Towequipe tow bar with twin electrics (fitted May 2011), load cover and net (works with rear seats up or folded), roof bars, ski hatch, side air-bags, adjustable steering column, Kenwood stereo with CD auto-changer and USB input.

Comes with 2 keys, the original owner’s handbook and service record and the full MG service and repair manual on CD.

Rear springs replaced Dec 2010

New battery March 2011

Clutch replaced May 2011 (120,831 miles)

Exhaust flexi replaced June 2011 (121,404 miles)

Brakes all replaced Dec 2011 (approx. 126,000 miles)

Front suspension arm bushes and one suspension arm changed Dec 2012 (approx. 132,000 miles)

Rear roll bar bushes replaced May 2013 (approx. 135,000 miles)

Gold fan resistor fitted

Rear wheels refurbed last year

Plenum spy hole modification by Arctic (allows easy cleaning of plenum drains – often overlooked service item that can lead to serious problems if neglected)

5 service stamps from Dutton-Forshaw (supplying dealer) and two from the MG Owners Club workshop. 8th service at same time as clutch change.

Last full service June 2013 at 135,000 miles by myself (chartered engineer)including gearbox oil change and installation of later BMW PCV crankcase filter (reduces risk of blockage which can cause engine or turbo damage). Oil service last June.

Bad points: driver’s door lock does not unlock using the remote (a common problem – same lock as Minis and Defenders); various chips, scratches and scuffs as you would expect at this mileage – most significant is on n/s front wing; cracking/peeling of leatherette bolster on drivers seat; one key button has broken off, but still works fine; load cover has come unstitched from retaining rod/handle; due for a full service soon.

I can email additional photos if required.

Absolutely stunning car, and a steal, at that price.

Thank you, I'm sure it would be worth more if I sorted a few of the minor issues out and tidied it up, but I know they will put quite a few people off.

I just remembered a few other things.

Good: One of the strut top bearings was changed in July 13 and it has had new intercooler O rings. It has also had the bonnet release cable sorted out.

Bad: the OS rear lamp lens has a crack in it and one of headlamp level adjusters fell apart during an MOT test and has been bodged.
