The New Inn Monthly Meetings
At our last meeting at The New Inn we had a talk, it was decided by some members that they would like to hold meetings more local, therefore, we came to the decision that a club meeting would be held on the second Sunday of every month at The New Inn, Heakfield, Hampshire, RG27 0LE. This would in no way detour members from holding alternative meetings at alternative venues, therefore, it was also decided to open a second Thread under the area section The South and London. This will give the members a choice of attending the local meeting or going to a London meeting.
I volunteered to organise the local Thread in keeping it up to date and publishing any relevant information that may be of interest to the members. I have published our monthly meetings at The New Inn on a well known Face Book Group site inviting any Rover 75 or MG Zt that they would be welcome to join us, the invitation is open to non members, there are some owners that do not know that meetings are held in this area. It would be twofold, help swell the numbers and attract new owners to join our club.

New Inn
I have had a request from a Justin to ask if his father who once owned a 75 has a lot of spare parts, I have told him he is welcome to come along but he the landlord does not want his carpark to be used to show and sell spare parts.
I have copied and posted the message he sent, should any of the items he has listed be of interest you can see him on the day. ---------------------------------------""----------------------------------------- From Justin I am writing to you regarding an offer. My father used to be a member on here but has since sold his Rover 75. Anyway what I was wondering on his behalf is that he was thinking of coming the Meet on the 14th August as he has some Rover 75 bits and pieces that he was keeping for a rainy day but now of course does not need. He was wondering if there was enough interest he would attend the Meet, (if allowed) with this box of goodies with the possibility of selling them at very reasonable prices? This is a list of some, but not all: 1) Original set Ash Grey Mats with retaining clips in very good condition. 2) A set of original Rover 75 Wheel Trims for Steel Wheels. 3) A set of Engine Covers professionally sprayed in Copperleaf Red. 4) A pair of Pre-Facelift Headlights complete with clear lens. 5) MG-ZT Steering Wheel complete. Black. 6) R75 Steering Wheel complete in Smokestone. 7) Leather Armrest. Black. 8) Leather Handbrake Handle Black. 9) Pair of Copperleaf & Silver Bullet Mirror Covers. 10) Original Cam Sensor. Working. 11) Centre Armrest Insert c/w Aux Power Supply fitted. 12) K&N Panel Filter 13) V6 Original Made in England Oil Filters. And numerous trim clips and other bits and pieces, even a Smokestone Centre Console, Glove box Cover, Steering Shroud and under dash Kick Panel... Maybe you can put your feelers out and if there is enough interest, and of course if he will be welcome, he will see you guys there on the 14th. I will await your reply, but no offence will be taken if not welcome. ----------------------------------------""----------------------------------------- I have replied to Justin and would appreciate your take on this. John

Thanks John for posting that up. Well, I for one am looking forward to the meet, always enjoyable, and as an added bonus, it happens to be very local to me. I may well be interested in the headlights for sale too.
Roll on the 14th. |

Flags
Hi Guy's
I am hoping we get a couple more join us but as it is the first of our monthly meetings I am not expecting a great turn out, I feel sure that once more members get to know then more members will join us. When we use to meet at the Frog and Wicket I can remember someone having a Rover Flag, does anyone know what happened to it? did Steve keep it?
