Yet Another MOT Failure..........Brake Pipes!!!!
Hi All,
After the Slave Cylinder failed, got a new Clutch/DMF/Slave & Master Cylinders, then went for an MOT and Failed.... On: Corroded Brake Pipes, OSF, NSF, Middle & Rears, so basically all of the Brake Pipes.... Exhaust leaking at the two joints/clamps, (where back box was fitted) and where the New Cat was cut, sleeved and clamped. I am questioning this, as there is no evidnce of leaking gases. Fuel leak near the UB Pump/FF. No wonder the car was drinking fuel! The car drives beautifully with the new Clutch and DMF etc......Softer pedal and better bite all round and much smoother pulling off and NO Judder...The DMF was shot! So looks like more money down the pan! Is there anyone here that can do the brake pipes cheap? Ta.

Oh dear, not a plesent visit to the MoT station....... mine had new brake pipes all round when it was only 6 years old so they're not great in the corrosion resistance department
I would try Messenger (Corin) if you can get hold of him, not too far away in Crowthorne, and he might be able to do it for cheaper than an ordinary garage. |

Guys, Yes I know George has quoted £170, but if I can get it cheaper, thought I'd ask thats all........if there was a specialist in this area of brake pipes....
Like a DIY mechanic...... What a nightmare.......one thing after another. But must say, the new clutch is ever sooooo smooth! So, to recap, if anyone can do it less than £170, please let me know. Money is kind of hard to come by right now! Thanks.
