Trimani's engine clean!
Hi
This has got to be the easiest and most effective cleaning job ever! Just completed the engine clean as per the instructions given by Trimani. Auto glym plastic and rubber care .... Results speak for themselves.... The photo doesn't actually show how clean it looks! http://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/foru...d.php?t=150085 Link. Scroll down to Trimani's post for details Chris Last edited by Astraeus; 29th November 2013 at 11:00.. |

Hi All
This method of engine cleaning worries some people with the use of water. Quite rightly so. But there is a hidden benefit in following the 'whole' method. That is, simply don't direct water right on electric plugs & sockets, or directly at other electrical components. they will get a bit damp in the cleaning process. Also Don't direct water behind plenums for obvious reasons. The hidden benefit is in using the Autoglym product. It is silicone based and very water repellent. The very act of spraying the whole engine, including 'Electrics' is that it will not only drive the water out, but leaves a very thin waterproof coating. This waterproof coating will build on your plugs and sockets with use, and future engine washes will not be a problem. This might upset the purists among us but I have even sprayed my ECU to keep it dry from moisture. As far as an acceptable clean is concerned, My previous car was a Porsche, and I won the ' Porsche National Concourse ' and many other firsts, using the same method. Please though, don't go trying to drive through a river |
