12v supply to boot area.
I need to get a 12v supply from the battery to the boot area, direct from the battery. Any suggestions for the best route to take ???

I did mine. Across the engine bay into the plenum area. Through into the drivers side Along the carpet trim to rear seats. Removed rear seats and under there into boot area Under boot area into area normally populated with satnav stuff.

Is your cable fused? If so how is it connected within the engine bay?

Mine has an in-line fuse and is about 10cms from from the connection (direct to the positive of the battery)

I've wired the connection directly to the battery now as I wanted it always live. I originally had it wired to a switched live in the fuse box but it didn't suit my purpose.

Sorry to drag this up again, but did you use existing holes or did you drill new ones? I'm fitting a 50m2 powercable in my ZT and would like to use a existing hole if possible. Pics would be great
Also considered runnning beneath the car and run it through in the boot, but there's a problem getting around the fuel tank and exhaust in the rear. |

If you look above the bonnet release cable in the drivers-side plenum, there should be an extra grommet. Pop this through using a screwdriver, and put a whole in the grommet and put it through there.
How I did my amp wiring. |
