KV6 Belt Change recommended garage?
Hi
Try as I might I cannot find the thread which gave the details of a garage who can change timing belts on a kv6. Seem to recall was in the midlands. Any help locating or offering the services of a trusted mechanic would be appreciated. The car is in Chichester West Sussex if that helps??? |

I can recommend Gavin at mgrover repair in Coventry, I think Lates is in Rugby and you have Russel Walsh who is mobile, known as mgrover solutions, he is in Sevenoaks.

Mike Stafford is fully mobile and lives in Worthing Sussex. Look on the web for MJSAUTOANDMARINE.CO.UK
As already stated Russell Walsh at MGROVERSOLUTIONS.COM comes highly recommended.

Just been in contact with Mike Stafford about replacing brake pads. He has a new day job and, although still wielding the spanners, is now concentrating on his love for the 1.8t and uprated head gaskets.

If you use Lates, you can watch them do the change. They will also tell you if anything else needs to be done, like brake pipes. Took mine in two years ago and he said front to back brake pipes needed doing. Booked in to have it done two months later. When he took the one pipe off to replace it, it just bent in the middle and the brake fluid came out. That was lucky I’d say. Good pair of chaps who know exactly what they are doing. Just take some biccies with you if you go.

I used Lates month ago on my V6. They found the belt on the front bank was out by a tooth and the vis motors weren't working. Well worth the long drive from Somerset.

KV6 Belt Change
Russell from Sevenoaks did a very good job when he changed my belts and kindly plugged in the T4 when he'd finished to show me whether anything else was adrift.
