On a tripod its not to bad for moon shots which is what i bought it for, not really used it for anything else

Really?? I'd have never have guessed. Bet you can't guess what I use.
I suspect at 1000mm even on a tripod that mirror lens would be about f16. That'd need some serious light. I have a Bigma 50-500mm and thats hard enough to work with in anything other than sunlight. I've always used the S series of superzooms for stuff like that. I have the SX30 IS at the minute. |
