Intermitent Battery Light Problem
Hi all
I wonder if someone could help me with a recent problem my car has developed, its a rover 75 54 plate Diesel,65,000 miles. Only this morning i noticed the battery light flicker a few times while driving to work. Later today when i came to come home, the ignition lights came on but the car wouldnt start or click, tryed turn the key on and off 2/3 times and it just started no problem. again intermitent battery light only now and again. could this be a bad connection somewhere ?the battery terminals are fixed tight and no corrosion etc. any ideas please ta Julian |

Starter motor solenoid needs replacing.
Plus I think you will soon find the alternator will stop charging. Sorry. Colvert. PS. Battery terminals can feel tight and OK but can have corrosion betrween the terminal and clamp. Take off, clean and replace just in case your problem is there. ( Cheapest option first. ) |
