Another year - another MOT - PASS!
As so many of you will understand, MOT day today was anticipated with the usual sense of fear. After all, Zircon is a fairly early Cowley car, having come off the assembly line in August 1999, though not actually registered till April 2000.
And just to 'pull my leg', a number plate bulb went late last night - as if the car was suffering from nerves too (that was after I had spent a full day cleaning and hovering (actually meant 'hoovering' -but 'hovering' seems just as appropriate!) and replacing a front fog light bulb - a pig of a job as one of the retaining screw heads for the lamp unit was worn with rust - aargh). The MOT was done by an expert whom I know and trust - and I know he will be strict in his checks (there is no point I feel in turning a blind eye to something that could be dangerous). Well - the good news - the car passed the MOT - a 'minor' advisory only: one of the front anti-roll bar linkage ball joints' has a 'deteriorated dust cover but preventing ingress of dirt'. Phew! All the best, Nicholas/Zircon Last edited by Zircon; 26th March 2014 at 10:05.. Reason: spelling correction - 'hoovering' for 'hovering' |
