Rear subframe bush dimensions & photos - rover 75
First off, I know my vernier is rubbish
There are 4 bushes in the rear subframe - 2 (close together) at the front and 2 (further apart) at the rear. The 2 at the front are a different part number than those at the rear. BOTH TYPES ARE NLA. All 4 bushes have the same fundamental dimensions for fitting purposes from what I can see, but the 2 at the front have a different central structure than the 2 at the rear - the steel bolt hole sleeve is thicker in the front 2 bushes and the rubbers have 2 cavities (not packed with rubber like the rear 2). The bushes are slightly narrower at the bottom (for entry to subframe) and wider at the top - in order to allow them to "wedge" into position, I imagine. OK, FRONT BUSHES FIRST: DEPTH (including steel lip): 56mm. OUTER DIAMETER (at bottom): 56mm (ASSUMED). OUTER DIAMETER (at top): 57mm (ASSUMED). STEEL BOLT HOLE - INNER DIAMETER: 10.5mm. STEEL BOLT HOLE - OUTER DIAMETER: 26mm. CODE/NUMBER ON TOP OF RUBBER ON RIGHT FRONT BUSH: W17824-8 (). CODE/NUMBER ON TOP OF RUBBER ON LEFT FRONT BUSH: W17824-18 (). IMAGE 1: RIGHT FRONT BUSH (top). IMAGE 2: RIGHT FRONT BUSH (bottom). IMAGE 3: LEFT FRONT BUSH (top). IMAGE 4: LEFT FRONT BUSH (bottom). IMAGE 5: DEPTH OF CAVITY IN FRONT BUSH RUBBER. More photos to come.. Cheers, Karl.
