Default Yet Another Clutch Thread

Hi all,

My clutch master cylinder broke yesterday, it's not burst, it's broke.
The plastic end that fits onto my clutch pedal snapped.

I'll be honest, I'm quite annoyed even though I knew the clutch needed to be sorted I was hoping it'd last until next month and next pay-packet as it's just swallowed over 500 quid getting it through it's MOT.

I'm still confused as to what make of clutch to go for, but now I've the added insult of needing a clutch master cylinder, which from what I can gather there is a fond following of the metal body type.

I see DMGR do a kit with this style of master cylinder in, with a Borg and Beck clutch.
What are everyone's thought's on B&B for the 135 cdti please?

Also, the car is broken down about 10 miles away from me, and rather getting it recovered to my house then trying to get it re-recovered to a garage to get the job done, I've left it where it is until I've made the decision on who / what / where and how.
If anyone recommends someone to do the job near the Derby area, please share.
My recent attempts to have just a top mount replaced was turned down by four places no less!

Many thanks in advance.

A very sad and broke Richard
