My speakers are different (as are other members), but the overall size, mounting hole etc are still the same size.

Here are the dimensions of a 6.5" Focal speaker - obviously the magnet is a different size, but it gives you all the mounting holes. It also fits exactly in the standard mount so it should be the same.

The perfect solution would be something that exactly replaces the standard mount - i.e. it holds the speaker in the same place, and at the same distance from the door - too far from the door and it'll hit the door card, and too close to the door and you'll have problems with the speaker trying to go through the weatherseal.

Price wise... well I have no idea how much such a thing would cost to make, so I wouldn't like to geuss - but I'd start the ball rolling with a figure of £30 for a set?
I asked for a rough drawing, but this will also do.
Ok I will take the card off my door in the next few days and get some dimentions, and try to get a mock up to see how it works.

I do think it is one of those projects where the labour/postage will cost more than the material. I will work it all out, wait to see what the response is and get back here asap. Dont want to be taking cards off in the snow now, do we.
