![]() I got done for being a few minutes over my time in an almost empty car park in Kilmarnock.
Under orders from the "boss" I paid up but asked for a receipt. I never got one. I wrote to the Kilmarnock Standard who printed my letter Parasites invading Kilmarnock. Ive never returned to the car park since. |

![]() I parked in Sainsburys in my MWB Transit and of course it is the length of 1.5 cars nearly. Being considerate I parked at the end of the car where there were practically no cars so I did not annoy any other shoppers.
I came back to my van after a bit of shopping and a breakfast ( nearly and hour) with a ticket on the screen. Apparently I was parked across two bays ![]() ![]() I now don't take my van shopping but if I do I will park on the double yellows and leave my hazards on. |

![]() When we toured with a caravan and needed to park over two bays we bought two tickets - the motorhome guys would do the same. But where parking is free for a few hours - what do you do if you have a larger vehicle?
I had an altercation in a car park in Basingstoke when I parked my old Discovery in a bay (just! - but I was within the bay). The attendant moaned because of the overhang ![]() So it seems to me that the vehicle type is the factor as much as anything else. |

Got a ticket for the folding camper, when I appealed it they said that the ticket should have been stuck in the window of the "camper" being towed. I had to explain that as the camper was folded down, there were no windows - they are all folded away - so stuck BOTH TICKETS to the car windscreen. After some more back and forth letters it was eventually cancelled ..... ![]() |
