Mine gives a single chime/ding once in a while when I pull the key out. Never understood why as everything is off. Prehaps once evey two months or so.

I guess that you have a Sony stereo fitted?? they do this if the front panel is not detached when pulling the ignition. I had this before and I found it so annoying that I pulled the stereo instead and replaced it with a JVC unit.

This happens if you pull the key out after you have opened the drivers door. It relates to the "forgot to turn the head ligths of- alarm" I guess it happens in the quarter of a sec when your key is pulled and the headligths are powering down while the drivers door is open.

the chimes are to remind you to take the face off and take it with you so its not left in car for the crims to nick. same thing if you leave lights on when getting out of a car really .i would start taking the face with you in future . good call by wolves75 in the first place .
