Power sounder.
Just to make sure before I blow my eardrums out !!! Does the 75 have a power sounder that's likely to go off when I disconnect the battery ??
If so, what's the procedure to disarm ... and do these ( like some other marques power sounders) have a tendenct to self combust when getting past their useful life ?? |

It will go off if you disconnect the battery with the alarm armed. To prevent this, ensure the car is unlocked before disconnecting the battery. Simple Not sure about self-combusting, though, sounds like an extreme anti-theft measure. Not sure what insurance companies think about this. |

Some models are fitted with an alarm sounder which has its own battery. It should not be triggered by your disconnecting the main car battery, though I understand tampering with the sounder can trigger it.

You may only have an alarm horn though, rather than power sounder (BBUS). |
