Default Rattling Door trims...Argggggggggggg

hi all.

The door trims on my 2002 zt are driving me mad.first the autmatic central looking goes with a thud when i go past 5mph..then there seems to be a constant rattle in about three of the doors.. any ideas of a fix.. grease gun wd 40 anything pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Check your door panel fixings, the top corner by the door locking pin should be a red fir clip, not the normal white or grey clips, Mine were rattling and this sorted them out, the door locking at 5 mph i because you have speed locking activated, this can be taken off with a T4....

hi mate.

the rattle does seem to come from inside the door and the panels themselves feel firmly fixed,i do think they have been taken of at sometime though.

Stick your finger over the door lock pins and see if it stops the noise, if it does, a McDonalds drinking straw cut down and fitted over the pin should quieten things.

woohoooo!!!!

someone knows how to fix my rattle. the only way i stop mine rattling is to lock my doors when driving

Check the door locking motors and window mechanisms are tightly done up. My passenger door used to make a horrible clatter when someone closed it as a nut was missing from the window mechanism.
