coolant taps ????
Can anyone tell me what the pipes running up the left side under the bonnet are for. They also have small blue taps and appear as if connected to the coolant system, What will happen if i turn the caps a twist on/off?????

I think the pipes you are referring to are for the air conditioning.

If they are attached to aluminium pipes and have blue caps on they are the charge and discharge pipes for the air conditioning refrigerant.

Air Con
Hi Mate, Those blue caps you refer to will also have the letters H & L embossed on them. These are the valve caps for the Air Con system, used when regassing or testing the system. Cheers, JRT.

And don't do anything silly like seeing what happens if you depressurise the valve!
Refrigerant burns are most unpleasant Duraglit makes them very shiny! |

Certainly does as I found out defrosting a freezer with a screwdriver when I was much younger and only a little bit stupider Thank god I had glasses on, felt like the worst case of sunburn ever.
