yup just noticed, all i did was scan for 'ongoing issues' - if sky aint fixed this in this amount of time then shame on them.

Right,

Your router (according to your status lights) is connected to the internet.

There could be issues with your ISP's DNS servers or your routers DHCP is playing up. To figure these out we need to get you connected to the router,

Do you know how to obtain your PC's IP address? better still do you know how to open a DOS (or CMD) window?

On the subject of Netgear routers, there is some rather good independant firmware available for some of them, from DGTeam. It adds a few extra features to the firmware, but it is unfortunately no longer supported.

Fix a poor handbrake; DIY ABS diagnostic unit; Loan of the spanner needed to change the CDT belts; free OBD diagnostics +MAF; Correct Bosch MAF cheap; DVB-T install in an ex-hi-line system; DD install with a HK amp; FBH servicing.

I've taken a vow of poverty. To annoy me, send money.

I ran this firmware a while ago when i was using a sky router with my ADSL2+ service, i particularly like the fact that you can adjust your SNR to balance speed/reliability

Hi .. internet connection is a bit hit and miss over the hot spot.

I managed to get the routers web pages -- not that it meant anything to me ! No idea now to get into DOS, Sapper !!!

After work today I stripped out everyhting on the lines and only connected the router, through a different filter ... LO and BEHOLD .... the compuers now tell me the router DOES connect to the internet .... however .... when "connected" (apparently) I cannot open any web pages at all !!!
