So far it's thumbs up from me! Just need to find a way to sync it fully with Outlook so I can get all my appointments and reminders etc over (I know - two different systems!)

I sync my Galaxy S3 with Outlook through Kies no problem. Have you tried using Kies?

Sort of!

First night I had the phone I gave it a try, but for some reason

a) It didn't work
b) It messed up my Internet connection (as in on my laptop!)

So, I did a system restore - but will be trying Kies again in time

Does it sync with Outlook then?

Yes it syncs fine with Outlook. Kies offers a back up also.

Thanks, madone, for reminding me about Kies! Got it working now and working well!

Only two issues:-

1) Can't seem to get my Outlook calendar to actually sync
2) Wish I'd had a better look at it before shelling out £7.95 on Jeyo Mobile Extender (OK, this too is a nice piece of software, but Kies was not only free, but already on my phone!!! Doh!)

On the sync page I use selected schedule folder option, personal folders/calendar and it works fine. In the past I have used the selected periods option as I was getting double and triple entries

This could be where I struggle: I can't even see a sync page!

Anyway, my contract was up on my HTC HD2 about 2 months ago, and finally taken the plunge. Gill's got a Samsung Galaxy S2 which always looked very easy to use, so I've gone for a Samsung Galaxy Note, which is basically the same but with a huge screen!

One thing the HTC had was TomTom, so now I am looking for a SatNav app. Free would be good, although happy to pay a reasonable amount to get something usable. Did I read on here recently that you can download Google Maps and use that, but without a connection to the Internet (using just GPS)? I don't want to use ££££'s of data!

Also, can't seem to find out how much Voicemail pick up is going to cost. I know on the previous phone with T-Mobile this was the only thing that ever cost over and above the contract, and was 35p a go, so keen to ensure that if it also costs with Orange, I switch it off!
from Windows mobile 7? I went from Android to Windows Phone 7, and although I still use my android for apps (Torque!!!) as a user experience, Android can't touch Windows Phone 7. Just a shame, that Windows Phone 7 can't touch the Android market place!
