sat nav drives, are they the same ?

Daft question,but are highline and lowline sat nav drives the same ? i'm assuming the highline one is only ok for the TV versions ?

The Lo Line sat nav would not work in a Hi Line set up or so I was told years ago, different part numbers also.

The difference is the early one is a CD drive, later one is a DVD drive. Later one has DVD on the front of it.
