Hi

I suspect you have not connected the kbus to the Grom. As the changer worked originally there will be a kbus connection from the symphony so hopefully it is just a case on checking the pin out connections from the radio into the Grom.

I have a Grom, albeit fitted to a Highline, but I am at work and the wiring details are all at home. I will try and check later on.

Just a thought, have you set up the folders on the usb memory stick and included some music. I recollect someone else had a similar problem, everything worked once they had transfered music into the folders.

Yes you need to connect the K wire through to the original harness. Do a search on here for GROM and you should find the info because that's how I found out about it. It was a few years ago now.

Pin out details for the symphony and the Grom. You need to ensure that the kbus is connected, As David says search the forum on Grom and you will see that it has come up before.

I had a Grom unit for the iPod and can confirm that the same applies - you have to manually make a connection from the Grom unit to the K bus. Simply connecting it as per Groms instructions will not work.

Once you make the connection, the unit works well.
