Default 02 R75 2.5 Connisseur manual £500 **SOLD**

In Wedgewood Blue
75,000 miles
6 months tax
12 months MOT

I bought this my first 2.5 as a no MOT or Tax project with the simple aim of getting her back on the road, now I,ve achieved that I would like someone else to enjoy her as I have CDT Connie to revive.

Luckily she only failed the MOT on 2 broken springs, I replaced the battery and wipers and gave her a full service.

She has reverse sensors, information centre, bullets and real wood dash. The leather seats look like they,ve never been sat on.

The bodywork is in fantastic condition though the offside drivers door has been sprayed in the past. I,ve clayed her and electrically buffed every panel and she really does shine, annoyingly I managed to drop an alloy wheel on the inside rear wheel arch which has left a dint but you can only see this if you were to open the door.
According to the previous owner the belts have been done but there is no documentation to prove this, though they do look new to my untrained eye. There is also a slight tick on the inlet manifold but a used one that I got from Artic will be included in the sale.
I,ve done 100 miles in her this week and she felt fantastic. My first drive in a 2.5.
I could use her as a donor car for my next project but I think she is far to good to pull apart.

If there is any experts looking in I would like some advice please.

Before last week this car had been parked up for at least 3 months by me and even longer by the previous owner. On tickover the tapping/rattle was constant, hence the acquisition of a 2nd hand manifold. The oil was thick and black so that was changed with semi syn as well as all filters.
What baffles me now is, today I,ve done 50 miles in her and there is no tapping/rattle. I gave her a good thrashing and she does bolt forward at 3000+ rpm. As I type she,s ticking over on the drive and sounds sweet, no rattling.
So experts I,m curious to know what was rattling and why is nt it now, could it of been a tappet????

I look forward to anybody,s opinion and I will even drop the price to £500
