Default Harmony to symphony and changer

I am looking at replacing a harmony radio which is connected to a (defunct) Sony CD changer by a connects 2 box with a Symphony and Alpine changer.

I have looked through a number of threads and think I have some idea now but am unclear on a couple of points. (Duotones post on subject no longer has the photos)

I have the lead that goes from the changer to the blue mini ISO on the back of the Symphony. On this lead the K bus wire has been cut.
Is it just a case of joining the two ends together or do I have to join it to something else?

I have a BMW to ISO connector but there are only 5 connections in the black power plug.
Is it correct that I can get around this by linking from the car loom just before the BMW connector as follows:
BMW pin 3 to ISO power pin 2
BMW Pin 17 to ISO Power pin 3

Am hoping that the above will get it all working - or have I missed something?

I have re-instated the pictures.

The K bus wire will have to be re-connected, otherwise the changer will not work.

Thanks ever so much for that.
I will take a look.
Re the k Bus wire:
Does it just go from the blue ISO on the back of the Symphony straight to the changer or does it link in with anything else. I am not sure as on the lead I have there is a few inches of the k bus wire missing.

Imagine the K bus as a ring main.

You have to make a connection to the K bus circuit.

The K bus is a White / Red / Yellow wire, that is the wire you will have to make a connection to, as well as the white/red/yellow going between the head unit and the changer.

Thanks!
I was wondering how it could work in isolation.
That explains why that one was cut I guess.
