Thumbs down

Oh for the love of God I've just been trying to type a long and involved reply to a thread on my ipad 2 using ios8 and half way through the ipad just froze. The only way to get it back was to come out of safari and then go back in, of course it wiped the message i was still composing

Since the stupid upgrade my ipad has been on a go slow and frequently just freezes. Rebooting is problematic too, with it not coming up as it should on occasions without lots of button pushing.

I'm fed up with using it at all now, and want to throw it in the river

Come on Apple sort it out

Smile

I would support that action but being an angler I would have an issue with marine pollution.

It is frustrating Paul, I am feeling the same. I am running a back up on the ipad 3 before attempting a downgrade to 7.1.2 if the back up completes. Currently using mini opera as a browser for the ipad which seems to work. For how long not sure.

The past few days, I have had to run several resets to get safari to start and this evening it would not communicate with Apple support. server could not be found mmmmm I bought this ipad 4 weeks ago, my first one and am seriously contemplating going over to a windows tablet if my attempts to ressurect the ipad fails.

Keep us updated Phil, I'd like to roll back my iPad to ios7 if that's possible, but wouldn't want to loose any of my data in the process.

My second attempt at writing this up, after the first one froze. Following the protocols for back up, my attempt today to install 7.1.2.ipsw was foiled on the iPad with a message saying it is closed permanently. I left it too late, but could not do it earlier until the backup had been completed. Sorry to be the bearer of such news

iPhone 4 users can still use their iPhones operating ios 7.1.2.....without the upgrade

Yes, it's a poor one. Safari on the forum is annoyingly taking me "back" but not back to where I was, back to way further back than I was. I have screens turning black so I can't type on them, and pages only half loading. Not liking it at all.
