Washer bottle sensor
I ran out of washer jet water today and my trusty light on the dash never came on!
Is there a sensor or something on the side of the bottle I can remove/clean/edit? Can I get to the bottle without: a) taking the bumper off b) taking the under-engine tray off c) taking the wheel arch liner out !? Ta |

I don't know where the sensor is located but I do know that in order to remove the washer bottle completely or to get at the wiring and pipework you need to remove the wheel arch liner (and possibly the wheel too)
Maybe it's (as you suggest) a case of stripping it down, cleaning and then refitting. Hopefully someone else can be a bit more specific on this though.... |

I thought they did from what I have gathered on these (and other) forums. Me little book of knowlegde (aka The Handbook) does not indicate that this feature is model specific so I'd assume it's standard accross the entire range (both 75 and ZT)

On a workmates (picasso) Car I used a combination of red hot water and some off those oxy crystal things (premixed in a jug), It hadn't worked sine he got the car and had run out several times, worked first time never had trouble since.
Personnaly I always fill up with hot water to dilute the sludge blue stuff, and I found out years ago following the instructions on the fluid always works as well, Even adding a bit for good luck soon bungs the pipes up. |

Ah the Picasso brilliant car only problem I had in 90,000 miles was the washer pump diverter valve jamming and sending all flow to the rear screen
I will buy another one day |

Seriously though the pic was my first choice of replacement car, brother in law and several workmates have them, a very very underated car, I had citroens before the 75 and the never cost a penny apart from servicing, I had the paperwork and everything for a new one, till I realised I could get a full spec 75 diesel for half the price....... When it comes to luxury and value.........She stole my heart I'm afraid. |
