Default V6 not starting

Hello everyone

Long time no speak moving house and renovations are taking up all of my time
I wonder if anyone can help

My dad's car has refused to start, it's trying to crank over but then it just cuts out

Any ideas anyone?

start with fuel filter separation....search on orange clip....loads of threads

You seem to be saying Phil that the starter motor is turning over the engine slowly ("trying to crank over") then it is stopping ("it just cuts out"), so the engine never fires. Have I got that right?

No the engine firing for a very short time

It's an 03 plate

It's not the fuel filter it's all fine it's had a diagnostic test done and it's saying a problem with the butterfly's in the injection system?????

Have you checked it then Phil? Is the orange clip fitted?

Can you give us the fault code? The only butterflies on the V6 engine are the power valves in the variable intake system. You may well have a problem with them, but they would not be responsible for the engine cutting out.
