ATC Fault code 14 and no heater...
Checked the fault codes list ; heater coolant temperature sensor Open or short circuit 70 C (150F)
Is this the coolant temp sensor under the bonnet or is it a specific one for the ATC? |

Ok. It's just for the heater. Part number JWL100040 and is a Denso 170400-4380.
Anyone know its exact location (somewhere under the dash....but where?) ? |

It's specific to the ATC Simon. The thermistor is mounted on the heater matrix, on the passenger side, according to RAVE.

Great.Thanks. I'll have a look tomorrow. Hopefully it's just a dodgy connection or someone has accidently unplugged it. :-) Would be nice to have some heat...got cold here again. :-(

Right. Just removed the heater thermister and it's giving infinite resistance ( my multimeter's lowest setting is 200 ohm). So I take it that the thermister is kaput. I'll try and get another one and hopefully get the heater working again,

In the mean time in order to have some heat, I removed the heater flap motor and used a 12v battery to set the flap motor fully open, then refitted it with the wiring plug disconnected. Hey presto....heat 'till I can get a new thermistor ! :-)

Thanks for the updates Simon. It sounds as if you've got this one cracked.
