Well I'd be happy to do that if it means selling the car for what it is worth. I want Katja to get the most for her car to offset the cost of her buying the replacement.
Done it before on other cars and its only a (long) day's work. Fortunately I also have a broad and varied range of curses and swear words to use... |

Parts cost, as indicated.
Have a pop at fitting them yourself. Takes an afternoon, if you know what you're doing. Haynes manual is quite good to refer to.

Its actually what I thought. As long as you follow the right sequence and don't take off bits that really don't need to be taken off they are all the same. I mean what could possibly go wrong!!!!????

You will also have to change the waterpump at the same time.
Good luck. Tom.

Nice looking car as above best if belts can be sorted, also are the Vis motors in good order, is the fan working on all speeds, which fan does it have 2 speed or 3 speed, is the lower engine mount in good condition along with the lower wishbone bushes, is the manifold rattle free, please advise.

I just don't understand the same old question "have the belts been done" it's an old car with low mileage selling for pennies. Get it bought.

Sold!!!

Beastie was bought today for full asking price as is and the new owner who already has a ZT was completely chuffed at getting such a good car. Many thanks for all the positive comments. I'm just glad I didn't have to 'do the belts' just to assuage the whims of a faceless bureaucrat from a long dead company who decided to just chuck in "or 6 years" in the service schedule for when belts need changing. |
