Default cdti rattle at bottom of engine

I stalled the car and after restarting it there was a rattle coming from the bottom of the engine .
It goes as I rev the car around 2000 revs and comes back on tick over.
It had new pump .. thermostat ...belts and radiator a few weeks ago.
Help please

The car ran smooth before I stalled it as I had drove 110 miles back home.
It is a similar sound to the heat shield rattling .
I hope the engine is ok

Crank pulley? Try pouring water on it with engine running if noise stops for a while confirms pulley. Only fit corteco pulley and new bolt.

As you have said, you have had the belt touched in the last few weeks, so I would suspect the pulley as well.

Took it to Horners and they confirmed the pulley has gone. Said it's the seal that goes and makes it rattle.
Quoted £45 labour and £117+ vat for corteco part less 10% forum discount.
Does anyone know where to get LHG 100750 part from. Looked online. Should I avoid any makes of part.

I have ordered one from Island 4x4
http://www.island-4x4.co.uk/cranksha...lg-p-4522.html
Made by corteco. Apparently they are BMW OEM equivalent part and good ratings on various posts.
Best price i could find at £108 inc vat
