I can see a door hinge bolt that is not the colour of the car and paint on the door rubber just above it.

i work for BCA which as some may no is a auction house,and i have been told that when rover went **** up most cars went to auction most of them were just thrown together with what ever was to hand there were qiut a few that had the wrong interior wwheels you name it my manger filled me in with this as he knows im a rover fan this looks a little like one of those i could be wrong

I would say its been cobbled together after it was "written off" could of been stolen for spares and dumped.

There were a few bitsa cars, although all the 260s were made of bits from here and there.

I had been bidding on it but dropped out towards the end. Really after a V8 but this one didn't really 'stand out'. Same wheels and interior as my diesel and just didn't look exciting enough to risk divorce. Still think its a good price though.

Would be surprised if it didn't, but looking at the bidding, I couldn't spot any shill bids! IMO, the car made ALL it's money, especially when you consider it's a Cat D, (which normally reduces prices by around 25%) and it needed the correct 18" wheels and tyres fitting to it, which if you fitted decent rubber (would ANYONE run a V8 on Chinese Death Rings?) would add at least another £1,000 to the price! |

thats very very strong money for a Cat D car. Lets see if it 'really' sold. Estate 260s for sale are rare I guess...
