Default JVC Steering wheel controls

Yet another thread on controls....

I've been rummaging for any advice on fitting a JVC unit that uses a single blue/yellow control wire to a 99 Connie that currently has a Symphony stereo but can't find anything that matches the combination.

Any thoughts?

Wouldn't it be wonderful if manufacturers standardised these things....

JVC radio's steering wheel controls requires something like this.

And one of these.

You would be advised to contact Caraudiodirect to make sure that the Patch lead is the correct one for your model of JVC radio.

Thanks Dave
Got the JVC fitted today & will retrofit the controls adaptor.

If anyone wants a cheap bluetooth / USB stereo I reckon the JVC takes some beating. I use it with a mini USB key that holds my entire music collection and Bluetooth from my Lumia phone for handsfree calls / texts and sat nav (Lumias come with Here maps - the company that has just been bought by BMW / Audi / Daimler - best phone sat-nav by a mile in my opinion).

Just out of curiosity, what does the cable on the right do?

That lead is for the diversity system, only used on Symphony and Hi Line installs, it switches parts of the rear screen aerial for the strongest signal.

Just tape up the lead as it will be unused on your new install.
