Default Recommend a good Halogen Dipped headlamp bulb ?

I've had the passenger side blow and need to get it changed.

I'm currently favouring the Bosch Plus 90, as they're available at Halfords at £27 for 2.

I know you can probably get them cheaper, but I need them quickly, as I'm working nights and have a rare day off tomorrow.

I'm looking for good brightness, but also good longevity (which the ultra bright jobs tend to reduce?).
Am I on the right track choosing these bulbs?
Or are there better options?

Thanks chaps.

This is my big worry.
I just don't have time to mess about with things like this, especially working the daft hours I am lately.

I've got the little spindly hands, but the eyesight is shot at close range and I know what a pig of a job these can be if you can't see.

Halfords were a godsend when they changed the bulbs in the missus' C3, which I couldn't manage.
They won't touch my motor though :-(

I need to get this sorted, as I have booked car parking for my hols and they won't take the car if it's in any way illegal.

Coincidently, I'm just looking at the nightbreaker unlimited atm;

Also £18 and I can go and fetch them.

I worry that they might fail quickly though, which will take me back to square 1.

It does.

I think that might be the route I'm going down.

Cheers, Ste

The fiddliest bulbs are the reflector bulbs with the spring clip, projectors are just twist & pull Xenons very rarely need changing But when they do

Projectors? Xenons?

What happened to the good old days, where they were simple to change, because you could access the headlight from under the bonnet?

And they never needed changing in the first place! (I think I've changed one or two in 40+ years of messing with dozens of cars).

It's called progress, I guess
And I suppose they are better these days.

To be honest with you, spindly hands are an advantage and as for eye sight, well it's in such an awkward spot that doing it by feel is much easier anyway, first time I changed one it took about 45 minutes now I can do it in less than 5 mine are the standard reflectors, I have used Nightbreakers but the latest ones I put in are Bosch bright whites.

The Nightbreakers lasted about 18 months, I have yet to see how long the Bosch ones last.

Given the date & model of your car, I would suggest you have MK1 reflector lights & the fitting is thus...

I'm sure you probably already know this, but just in case, don't touch the glass!
