I'm sure you probably already know this, but just in case, don't touch the glass!

On a slightly related note...
' The light that burns twice as bright burns half as long' (Tyrell: film: Blade Runner) Happy Birthday (incept date) to Roy Batty. Film buffs will get it.....

And the film's probably in my top 10, so I recognised it instantly when I read it in one of the other threads

So I've swapped them out.
Passenger side, I always wondered where the Shannon tube lived and now I know. Right in the way and I just couldn't get my arm in. Then the clip that locates the tube either gave or snapped, which improved things. I tried removing the fuse box, but it doesn't help. It probably took me about 20 mins, but I'd massacre that now I know what I'm up against. The driver's side, dead easy as you can actually see what you're doing. Probably took me literally 3 or 4 minutes, if that. But about 15 mins to put the access cover back on as the turnbuckle springclip wouldn't stay in the right position! So about 40 mins in all, not too bad a job after all and really not that daunting. I can see why Halfords won't touch them though.
