Symphony into ZT
Hi all,
Just bought a 2005 ZTT to replace my 75 Tourer. I've swapped the 75's Symphony radio into the ZT as I prefer it to the VDO CR213X that was fitted in the ZT. Only issue is the steering wheel controls don't work. There was one small lead on the Symphony which I didn't have on the ZT - I assumed this was for the CD changer (which I wont be fitting to the ZT). Is this anything to do with the steering controls ? Is there any difference between the Rover and MG steering control wiring, and is there any way of making them work ? thanks in advance Martin. |

The only thing I can think of is the ZT steering controls would be via the infra red sensor, the 75 Symphony doesn't have this, so you would need something else to make it work Sorry, but that's all I can think of

The steering wheel controls for the Symphony are here on the grey iso plug.
The steering wheel control wires in the VDO unit are in the green mini iso plug. You will have to move the blue/orange and blue/purple from the green mini iso plug to the grey iso plug. Dave T Last edited by Duotone; 9th January 2016 at 15:09.. |
