Thanks, everybody, for all the good wishes.
Even though the new car is only seven months old and I chose the SE with the softer suspension than the MSport, it still doesn't soak up the potholes and bumps like the 75 did when it was new.
I remember the first drive of my 75 twelve years ago like it was yesterday. I was staggered how it just glided over rough surfaces. But time moves on, as does the fashion, and now bigger low profile tyres are all the rage. It has always amazed me how as the price and the cost of wheels and tyres go up, the ride quality goes down. But I'm probably just being old fashioned!
Anyway, thanks again and I'm sure I will still be regularly on the forum.
Not tried looking for a BMW forum yet, but I am sure it won't be as good as this one.
