Five years and 69000 miles without incident with mine, subsequently sold and a further 37000 incident free miles miles carried out by it's new owner.

So considering I bought the car with 44000 on the clock that makes 150000 miles, and the only time it disgraced itself in my ownership was when the fuel filter separated

Who ever buys it isnt going to do shed loads of miles in it anyway so who cares! That reminds me if the head gasket goes can he re use the stretch bolts or not?
Buy it, enjoy it, smile when you see it, and cherish it. Lifes too short as they say and if you were looking for trouble free miles go buy a Toyota Corolla and be bored stupid.
