Would anyone who has had the fuel tanks from a petrol and a diesel out and apart tell me if the in tank transfer pumps are the same?

Thanks

Nathan

I've never had a petrol one apart but I can tell you they aren't the same.

Do you mean the setup or the pumps themselves? I need the diesel tank really as my engine has a fuel return to tank that the petrol one does not.

Both the set up and the pumps are different as far as I know.

Are you swapping a petrol engine for a diesel?

Good luck if you are, it is a big job. From what I remember the wiring looms are different, suspension springs, gearbox and driveshafts, ABS modulator, fuel supply system including the fuel lines front to back, IPK, and the diesel also has a different tank venting system and it has a fuel cooler.

By the time you've finished you will really know Rover 75s.

Someone has done this over on the dark side;

Yes going to petrol. I need the diesel suspension as the petrol weighs the same. I need the twin fuel lines as the engine has a return line. The looms are no issues as my engine does not need canbus to run but will talk to it for the ipk. I will have to remove the cooler and fit the petrol filler neck with vent. Nothing is a issues just the tank internals fuel pump is ok. But its the transfer pumps I am unsure off?
