If both bulbs don't work, check the reverse switch on the side of the gearbox.

The reverse-switch for the manual gearbox is accessed as follows:

Jack car up on axle stands. Remove passenger-side front wheel, remove wheel arch liner and undertray from car. You should now have good access to the gearbox. Now, the exact location I am unsure of having not removed mine but I am told it is relatively easy to see. There should be a wiring plug going into it - this can be pulled out to allow you then to unscrew the switch from the gearbox. Cleaning up the contacts may help if not you will need a new switch.

Hope that helps.

Swapped my reverse switch yesterday (both lights out and sensor parking not working). 10 mins job to do the whole job (wheel off, 19mm spanner to remove/refit, wheel back on)

I tested the old one and the it seems to provide signal/continuity when pressed. I cleaned it up with some wd40 and reinstalled but still no lights so swapped with a new one (less than a tenner from Rimmers) and its all working now.

Now to get onto the next job of the rear window heater causing awful reception on the radio !!!!
