Default headlamp problem

Hi,

I have had a problem with my headlight from when I first bought my CDT Rover 75 - the motor does not adjust the height of the beam. I also notice that the headlamp adjustor screws have no effect.

I recently opened it up when I had a blown bulb and found the whole inside loose. I think I have reconnected it, but it still does not respond to the motor or the adjustors. Additionally, when I go over bumps, you can see the beam jumping around.

Its around the right height at the moment, but will clearly fail its mot in two months time - does anyone know if there is much I can do with this, or is a complete replacement? I just didn't want to get a new headlamp yet if it is not the headlamp at fault, just the way it is connected. I know I can hear the motors turning when I switch the light on first - will a new headlamp even be the right solution, or is something bust in the mounting maybe?

I could really do with some input if anyone has any experience/ideas.

thanks in advance,
