My mother is going to buy a new PC but needs one with big memory and able to run
Latest Photoshop
Lightroom
Pictures to exe
Pro Show Gold

Any suggestions where what to buy new not recon or used

Couple of £k available

Best getting one made up custom spec which will be a beast compared to off the shelf ones and she won’t need to spend anywhere near 2k. My friend built mine. Cost me £1600 and blows the new iMacs away with its performance.

I would support the above suggestion.

You could try one of the custom build companies e.g. https://www.computerplanet.co.uk/

The following would be an excellent configuration. Above this, you would pay a lot extra for small returns in performance. Make sure the PSU is of very high quality - my favourites would be an EVGA G2 or G3 (both 80+ Gold efficiency and 10 year warranty) or superflower.

That’s a good spec above. Defo go for an i7 professor and not i5 and SSD drive too. With 32gb memory and 6gb graphics card, that will be a belter of a computer. I’d recommend a very good high end large size monitor too if she hasn’t got one already. One that’s good for photo editing.
