Default Oh for God's sake...!

Boot lock! Works on the release button but not the key. I'm being lazy - is there a solenoid on the lock?

I assume it's a facelift model with no key hole in the boot lid?

You are holding the button down for 2 seconds aren't you? If that's not working, it could be the fob battery.

Sorry - been off with flu! It does have the lock on the boot lid but it doesn't do anything. The key turns but there is no response from the latch.

Not unheard of for the lock to break. Easy enough fix if you can get a donor lock -it is a common part of the barrel that snaps.

The mechanical link has become detached. You will have get at the lock to effect a repair.----
