DVSA email
Got an email this afternoon from the DVSA regarding new MOT changes.
Good to see that the new tighter "smoke" tests won't apply to our cars as they do not have DPF's fitted to them ..... |

That's a relief! Talking to the owner of a 2005 Nissan X-trail - her garage reckon it will fail due to smoke, so she's found an old Defender to tow her caravan. My 2001 CDT isn't at all smoky, and my 1991 Mitsubishi isn't too bad either -it would be interesting to check how smoky they are.

My 75 does not seem to be as smoky as some of the new Audis and Mercs that go "clogging" past me on the motorway.
But then again they are ultra clean and only pay £30 a year road tax ... |
