Default Symphony Head Unit doesn't register CD unit

Hi all got this annoying fault that my Symphony head unit doesn't recognise the glovebox mounted cd changer at all.
If you press the radio/CD/ tape button it just shows 'no tape, nothin about a CD. Am I missing something simple in how I'm using it or is this a common fault and where could I start looking to fix it please?

A common problem is either the Symphony or changer have 'lost' the connection to the K-Bus. Is there power to the changer? Was it working and now stopped?

Thanks, it was like it when I bought it three months ago so I don't really know. I've disconnected the cd changer and reconnected, it definitely has power to it and you can hear it cycling through the cd trays when it reconnects.

Wow, CD's....

you chaps are so modern...

I have a small string quartet in the boot, expensive to feed and you need to remove the spare wheel for the cello, but the fidelity is just amazing...

Check that the K-Bus cable (White-Red-Yellow) is connected to the blue mini ISO connector in the back of the Symphony and the changer connector.
