Default Pillars/Headliner recondition

Hello guys, so far I noticed from other threads that the Headline is not a big deal to remove it. However, the pillars (6) are a pain due to the airbag.

Could someone explain to me, please, how should I proceed with the removal of these 6? I'm heard mixed info due to the airbags, and I would like know how to remove it without messing up the airbags..

Thank you in advance

Disconnect battery for 20 mins, then pull the covers off, provided of course, you have airbags fitted

If the word "Airbag" is not on the pillar cover, they aren't fitted

If I manage to see the word "Airbag" on the pillar cover, that means I already removed the pillar. I was asking if by the removal of the pillar I can mess up the Airbag, if so, is there any trick I can remove the pillar (to restore the material) without messing up the Airbag?

Side impact airbags were only fitted as an optional extra on facelift models, the pillar cover has "Airbag" stamped on it, most cars have no airbags under the cover.

The pillar cover has clips that hold it to the airbag, you can undo these once the pillar cover is removed a little way from the 'A' pillar.

I understand. So basically, once the cover is semi-removed it should be self explanatory to get away for real the cover in order to proceed the restoration by only unattaching the clips that holds the airbag.

Yes. They are held on with small torx screws.
