Default The very cheek of it!

Had a knock on the door today, a young chap in a van said, (in a broad Irish accent), "is that your car?"
pointing to my ZT-T,
"Yes" said I,
"Do you want to sell it?" said he
"No, why?" I replied........
And he handed me a tatty business card with "we buy scrap metal, cars, vans......"
Grrrrrrr!!!!!!

I can beat that.... Waiting outside my sons primary school to pick him up, and there was an imported chinese hearse in the layby very ornate and highly decorated. Classes of children were brought out to view it with teachers taking pictures. Suddenly 3 children were looking over my car, then a teacher came over and moved them on and one child said " we thought this was the funeral car"......

Firefrost Red funeral car? Indian wedding car, perhaps.

Should have said "make me an offer I cannot refuse"

Scrap is at over £80 a tonne at the moment, so the pikeys will be on the prowl

Default Well some do have an eye for quality.

A while ago I was waiting in my car to disembark from the overnight ferry, when a well dressed lady heading towards her car approached me.

She was obviously impressed with the Rovers finish and appointments - saying that it was better than her new Jag.

Somehow we came around to the cars original price.

On learning my cars new price (originally AUD 72,000 over here), she exclaimed "My! That is cheap for a Rolls Royce!

It is nice that, at least some folk have respect and appreciation for our cars.
