Lets hope everything goes ok with this Brexit thing. We could have to get 3 visa’s. One for each country we have to go through. France, Belgium and Holland.

Just cos I'm bored knocked up a list of stuff we need to take with us

Feel free to add other bits N bobs .

a few links to the cheapest I could find

Important
Driving licence and NI number
Insurance cert
Passport
V5C Certificate
Crit’air sticker ( see below)
Travel insurance docs
European Breakdown insurane docs

Equipment:
Reflective jackets for each person. linky
A warning triangle linky
Headlamp beam deflectors ( probably different types for mk 1 & 2's ) ?
Breathalyser for each person linky
GB car sticker linky
First aid kit linky

A Fire extinguisher linky

Not the cheapest but you can colour match your car

Spare bulbs
A torch.
A spare fuel can ( i'd best take 2 or 3 )
Additional engine oil and water
Decent road map or satnav
Any medications to cover the trip
Photocopies of important docs
European Health Insurance card. linky

Added ...

Jump leads ?

Tow Rope ?

Reckon those drivers of Dirty Dizzles and Old dodgy V8's, and possibly all of the rest of you might need a linky ..

But then we may not go any way that needs one

Chris

That's handy Chris
I bought a Ring European travel kit available from your local screwfix or wilko store for around £25 has much of what you need all in a handy bag.
Also got one of these some time ago that stays in the car.

Don't forget that you must have the kit to hand in the car NOT tucked away in the boot

Write down Credit/Debit card numbers and telephone numbers to call in case of loss or theft.

Don't forget the spare ignition key. Have the batteries in (both) keys been changed lately?

You don't need them on a mk2 rover as they have got leavers inside the main beam just flick them over all done.

2.4 Carriage of the following Hazardous Goods is PROHIBITED:
2.4.1 Acetylene (Oxy-acetylene) and toxic gases;
2.4.2 Vehicles powered by or which run on Hazardous Goods including Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG) (Butane or Propane), Liquid Natural Gas (LNG), Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) or any other flammable gas.

You can travel with a ,sic, caravan with gas containers that are used for cooking, heating and refrigeration providing they are not more than 80% full, but not with lpg cars. Well I suppose they know best? Also no guns or ammunition.
