Ecstacy Of Gold, superb, along with all Ennio Morricones spaghetti western soundtracks.

Two albums I bought and will have a special place for me are Sade's "Diamond Life" and Alison Moyet's "Alf"
The reason being is I went on my very first holiday without the parents.
Went to stay in Blackpool at my Mum and Dads friends Hotel.
It was a very long coach drive from here and those two albums (on cassette tape) I took with me to play on my walkman

After that Queen and the "A Kind of Magic" album when I was 16, I was lucky enough to go and see them on the Magic Tours final concert at Knebworth Park. It also was the last time Freddie Mercury performed live with the band. Memories hey

The Yes Album - by Yes () was my introduction to something more than Chart pop music. “Yours is no disgrace” was played late at night on one of the Pirate Radio stations - Caroline or London, could have been either as I flicked from one to the other.

Great music that lead to my far greater appreciation of all types of music.

Track 1 still sounds as good today as it did when it came out

Ziggy Stardust & the Spiders From Mars - David Bowie.

Played it so much that I can't listen to it on shuffle mode because it sounds wrong.

Been a fan ever since and got nearly all his albums.

My big sister gave me Nice Enough To Eat when I was about 12 or 13.
There were some good up and coming bands on that LP

I loved that album and played it to death on the old Dansette record player in my bedroom.

When I was not listening to that, late at night, so not to upset the parents, I used to tune in quietly to the pirate radio stations on Medium Wave and enjoy the sounds crackling and fading in and out.

Love by The Cult
1985, I was 13
Before that I had just listened to a random assortment of anything in the charts. This was my rock awakening
