fix scrap or what to replace it with
My bottom ball joint let go on my rover 75 estate. just bought a new set of tires due to be fitted today!
I came off the motorway slowed to 30 to go round the bend lost all ability to steer and ended up on the verge luckily no one else or anything else involved. damage is bottom wish bone wheel and probably disk bearing the cil is badly dented but repairable if I was feeling keen. trouble is its a 166k mile rover worth £500 before the mechanical failure. feeling a bit discombobulated and very lucky as a few minutes before I was doing 70mph. So the question is do I fix it or scrap car was driving really nicely just fitted new engine mounts and was a smooth as anything. I am worried that something else is damaged. I am leaning towards buying another and swapping best bits over......anyone know of diesel estate tourer for sale near Oxford M40? |
