Good morning fellow pork lovers - no sun today, it's grey with a cold wind which seems to be increasing in strength.
When I think back to some of the food I ate without qualms in my youth - potted brawn, pigs trotters, tripe, oxtail (always wiped before cooking), liver, devilled kidney - there was a fair drop of fat in there, and well laced with salt too
Got my reward last night for doing the annual accounts for the local allotment society - two 1 litre bottles of Bombay Sapphire Gin. This is a welcome change, as I was originally paid in compost
